Agree... I don't really care anymore but lets not act like KB did it the right way in leaving VT. After all the bs talk of "this is home" etc and then leave without a f you, kiss my ****, goodbye or nothing.

As someone whose wife just went through it, operations, chemo, radiation. It was awful, and people handle it how they handle it.

I get that - my father had cancer a couple years ago and it was really rough. That doesn’t negate the fact that he could’ve put something small out to the fanbase.

Yup, my mother was a survivor before it eventually came back and got her, so best wishes for her recovery.
That said, KB needed to communicate some of this better. Hokie nation would have supported, or respected their privacy if requested (or both).

I actually get your point. There is private matters in life. Keeping secret for people with names usually do not get kept secret. With that said Duffy time. i think it is time for that side of family to stay private. That is what they desired. All Hokies just desired is a good WBB program. When you have good recruiting and great following. Indeed it is hard to swallow. Again Duffy time.

Agreed. She should've just stopped at not not attending the draft if she felt she had to say anything at all.
Edging on being more disrespectful than I intend to be, but chemo didn't stop him from interviewing and accepting a new job then uprooting his family in the process. She really didn't need to bring attention to the whole not saying goodbye thing...

Yes, vitriol is often expressed by the message boards. But that doesn't mean I shouldn't believe that players who spend so much time together would have a very different relationship.
I guess it is the side of me that view people positively until proven wrong. Also, it would not cross my mind to construct a false message. So yes, I do still have a level of naivete at 70.
